Hello World

I am trying to achieve the obj with geo light that i've seen in the H11 launching reel. The sphere and cubic shape objs with geo light rolling down on the stair case (Not The obj with light from the crack of the sphere). Can any one help me how ?

And, Where can i find and watch the H11 launching in sidefx.com?
I'd appreciate it if any one can help me.
Thanks

1. grouped and seperated some random faces into a ‘glow’ blast sop
2. assigned that ‘glow’ sop to the geo light
3. enabled ‘transform into this object’
4. animate object
5. profit

Hi,

I am Back,
I did tried your instruction based on your Hip example file.
But, i do not see glow effect in my obj.
I do see some glow effect in the view port.
But after rendering I do not see any glow effect.
The obj looks the same as W/O glow sop (with your instruction)
Can you help me further please?

Steve

I did crank up the Geo light intensity way up to 5. - Still do not see the glow effect.

I wonder if you understand exactly what I am trying to achieve.
I am trying to make my human body (with solid color) like a tube buloon obj which has also solid color. Not exactly neon sign like obj. I mean Less bright color but with volume shape.

Can you help me further please ?

thanks

I certainly can't understand what you need, can't speak for others though…
Can you elaborate more or show an example?!

Cheers

I am trying to make my one color human body obj to a lid object (little bit like a little bit clear buloon obj with one color). Neon sign obj is too bright and we can not see the shape that well. Hope you understand better.

Post some reference picture. To make it not glow so much you can use attenuation for a quicker falloff.

Hi,

I think the effect you are trying to achieve is something that can be very simply done with a ramp shader, right out of the box (I mean, the Material Palette).

Cheers,
Greg
