Hi

I got some particles moving along a path using a CREEP POP.

Used a TRAIL SOP to compute the velocity of the particles and appended
a POINT SOP to instance geometry onto the particles.

For some reason, can't get the instanced geometry to orient to the particles direction of motion.

In the POINT SOP I tried both: ADD VELOCITY ($VX, $VY and $VZ) and
ADD NORMAL ($VX, $VY and $VZ). Dunno what I'm doing wrong :?

Any ideas?

It helps if you post a file we can look at.

Cheers.

Peter Quint has a Leaves Instancing tutorial that begins with a detailed discussion about orienting instances which may prove useful to you

maybe you are missing the UP vector or something similar which does what UP usually does .

.cheers
except the things that cannot be seen , nothing is like it seems .
