Hi all,
I'm playing around with the FEM solver in Houdini non-commercial edition and I was wondering why it doesn't seem to cache. I can run the whole simulation, then press stop, but when I move the frame to another frame it will always recalculate. It makes it impossible to see what your simulation actually looks like.
I know that the non-commercial edition doesn't allow you to write any cache files to disk (please correct me if I'm wrong), but I remember it keeping the simulation you have just run in memory so that you can watch it baclk.

What am I doing wrong?

….and I immediately looked back at the screen and saw a ‘'Allow Caching To Disk’ option, and cache memory size (which was set to 100 Mb).
Don't I feel stupid
