I am currently learning Houdini. I am a maya user myself.
Is there any way that I can generate a reflection map inside Houdini? Also, I would like to have some 3D geometry to be included in that reflection map. How can I generate this reflection map? or I have to do it manually by putting 6 cameras at one spot and making those reflection maps by myself?
In Mtor , I would use “ratReflection.slo”. How can I achieve the same thing in Houdini?

In the Shading tab of your Geometry object parameters, turn on Auto-gen Reflection Map.

It's worth noting too that you can put geometry in your scene to be reflected but not have it show up in the render itself. To do this turn the phantom parameter on and set it to 1. This is found on the render tab for your object parameters.
