I am currently learning rendering in Houdini. I just tried to render a depth layer for compositing. I created a “rman depthcue” in Shop and assigned that shop into a grid's “shader” sop's secondary Shaders' volume shader. but the shader sop turned yellow. It says the node was the wrong type of this operation. Can anyone show me how to apply “depthcue” or volume shader shop into a scene?
thank you for your attention!

the RMan DepthCue shader is an atmosphere shader. You'll have to apply it to an atmosphere object(in the Object context). Under the shading tab you'll find a Shop field where you can assign your shader.

thanks! The fog (volume) shader works perfectly after I assigned it on an atmosphere object!
But I still canot get the “depthcue” volume shader worked. I tried to apply it on the atmosphere cube and grid but it still did not work!
What is the step for applying depthcue volume shader? I used the same method but it only worked for the “fog” (not the “depthcue”)
