Hi
I am a beginner in Houdini.
In the motion blur section, what does “velocity Attribute blur” mean?
Does that mean it does both “transformation motion blur” and “deformation motion blur” at the same time? Is “velocity Attribute blur” same as Maya's 3D motion Blur?
Thanks

Can't comment on Maya, but velocity attribute blur is pretty much exactly what it says it is, it looks for a velocity attribute (v) and uses it to calculate the blur. You can just create the v attribute yourself or have it calculated in pops or chops for you. It takes into account transformational blur too, but not deformation AFAIK.
For some reason it isn't listed in the help under motion blur (Sesi why is this?)
In fact the help for motion blur is pretty sketchy, definately needs work.
Fortunately odwiki is your friend, lots more info on motion blur over there.

The trick is finding just the right hammer for every screw
