Hi all
I'm trying to make a crowd sim on a Möbius strip, where the characters walk around the strip in a loop.
So far I've modelled the strip and set up the crowd sim by:
-adding a mocap biped and baking with walk animation
-using the populate node to attach the crowd to the Möbius strip.
-added a simulate and terrain node
At this stage the agents detach from the Möbius strip continue heading off in the specified direction.
Any ideas on how to keep the actors attached to the geometry?
Here's a reference of someone who has nailed it a few years back with ants. I'm trying to do the same but with the standard mocap biped actors:

Any help or insight would be appreciated!
thanks
Paul

In 15.5 there are a couple new parameters, and various solver improvements, that make it easy to get agents adjusting their orientation to follow the terrain normal - the ‘FollowTerrain’ example file added in build 489 demonstrates this.
If agents are veering off the terrain because of avoidance forces or something like that, you may want a path force to keep them heading in the direction you want.
