Hi,
first let me say i'm sorry if this has already been answered in some other thread, i made a search for it but the results were not satisfactory.
what i'd like to know is if it's possible to get snapping to work on specific axis only, for instance, if i want to move some point to the same X coordinates of a point in other Y and Z coordinates, i tried turning the snapping on and played around with it but haven't had any luck. The main thing is that while i'm working with 1 point only i use the scale and some handle tricks to achieve this, but what if i want to move a whole selection? i'm used to other package and it works very simply there, maybe i'm missing some basic stuff, since i've only started using Houdini 8 apprentice. Thanks for your time in advance.
Best regards,
snapping in one axis only is possible?

Unfortunately Houdini cannot limit its snapping to one axis right now. There is an existing RFE (Request For Enhancement) in for this feature already but it eveidently didn't make it in for Houdini 8.0.
Take care,
