InGroup (vop) no results

I want to use [forums.odforce.net] the inGroup VOP node, this is how I have things setup;

OpInput1 > inPrimGroup (filename, group) Overrimitives >

I'm not seeing the primitives being selected. If I'm doing things correctly then it's my network

the thread you linked is from 2015, as it seems - are you experiencing the same problems that you already solved in that thread, maybe with a newer version of Houdini?
Otherwise it might make sense if you could post your HIP file, because I am not really getting where your problem lies …

Correct me if I'm wrong, can you not bind a group within a VOP using the VOP node InPrimGroup ?

sure you can (example), as well as through bind node as was mentioned
