I've searched that thread created for this kind of stuff, alas found nothing.
My suggestion is this: swap the font size between the current post and the quotation. Currently the quoted text is bigger and this is a bit distracting and… unusual.
Or keep them the same size but make the quote font italic or thinner. I'm sure you'll come up with something that works, just don't let the quoted text steal the show.

How's this? It's shrunken, and a bit transparent now.

piraveMcNistorAm I there yet?
Almost there
A bit too transparent/gray perhaps?
It's a bit hard to judge better/worse because whenever it changes, it goes back in time and changes it for all posts on the whole forum… But I like this look (by some definition of “this”, which assumes the look doesn't change in the future).

Oh…ok…I put in a comment earlier then deleted because I could have sworn the quote type use to be much larger…so I see changes are being made on the ‘fly’?
I would prefer the quoted type be darker…same darkness level as the posting type.
For me, the simple orange bar/s on the left is all that is needed for easy differentiating.
Otherwise the greyed out text is harder to see and read on large monitors without having to do some ctrl +ing.

Yes, I agree with this.

I for one am satisfied with this like I said, but taking into consideration the last two users' feedback as well as the newest webdesign trend in which text is rather big for ergonomic reasons, I would prefer to leave colors as they are but increase both fonts proportionally. My proposal to just swap them as they were at first, was close enough it seems.
edit: pirave, please consider also widening the entire page a bit (if possible), if you choose to go with increasing the fonts - nowadays monitors can easily accommodate a wider web page. Sorry for the chores we're suggesting you to go through.

I've left them both the same colour, and size.

McNistorNo worries at all! I'll take a look but I think widening the page is still quite conteraversial, as some users perfer an almost paper page width look - I'll speak with the designer and see what's up

Since there is some work being done on the forum.
… a couple things I've noticed…
I've gotten some very helpful answers from people here on the forum that I don't think I could have gotten elsewhere.
And these answers prove usefull months after even. However, sometimes I forget and need to check them again.
So instead of repeating questions with new posts in the quicklinks there is “Show your topics/posts”.
However when I select “topics”, it does give me my topics I create, but it also lists a number of topics I did not create as well - ones that I only responded too but did not create.
It would be good to have the option of only including self-created topics.
I tried the advanced search option using author catagory, but it basically does the same thing.
I also noticed when I went to “Show your subscribed topics” that there is a whole list of pages that indicates I have subscribe to many topics, when in fact the most I have ever subscribed to is 1 or 2.
And since it appeared that I was somehow subscribed to so many topics, I thought well let's try unsubscribing to them all and start from scratch. But there doesn't appear to be any option for that.

You can go to your forum settings in your profile, https://www.sidefx.com/profile/forum/ [sidefx.com] and make sure you have Auto Subscribe ticked off.
