Hi

I just finished installing Houdini Apprentice v8.0.383 on my system (Windows XP Pro SP2, Pentium 4, 1gb ram)

After installing, I tried running Houdini Master…and got these error boxes

Then I tried running HDK Install…and got this box

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Did you install Houdini in the default suggested directory? Seems like paths are screwed up. I'm not really a windowsHoudini user, but I just installed the apprentice version on my home system recently using all default values, and it worked fine. Also, did you have a previous install of Houdini?

I may be wrong here, but I'm not sure you can get the HDK with the Apprentice release.

Cheers,

J.C.

That looks like a bad install or something…do you have any errors during the install?

The HDK license is available to everyone now, even apprentice users.

For Windows Apprentice users, you should probably try the H8.0 daily build.
