I get this error in the log when submitting a job. Not sure what to change to fix that. It seems I have that folder on the client slave but not the server/slave. But neither machine executes the job correctly

Hello,

That error can appear for a couple of different reasons:
- /Volumes/HQShared mount point doesn't exist or isn't mounted
- a copy of Houdini is not installed in the network location

Though if your client has that folder but not the server then it sounds like the server just needs /Volumes/HQShared mounted.

One thought though is that if your farm consists of only MacOS machines and you already have Houdini installed locally on each machine then you are probably better off instructing HQueue to load up the local Houdini install instead of the network one. To do that you can point the Target HFS parameter on the HQueue Render/Simulation ROP to the following:

For Houdini 15.5:
/Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/15.5.ZZZ/Resources

For Houdini 16.0:
/Applications/Houdini/Houdini16.0.ZZZ/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/16.0.ZZZ/Resources

That would also fix the error mentioned above.

But if you are running into other errors then you can post or pm me the job output and diagnostics files for the failed job and I can take a closer look.

Cheers,
Rob
