Personally, I think the Geometry Spreadsheet is self-explanatory but there is a “Selection Mode” button in the top right of the window which made me click on the “?” & that led to this thread.

Hah! I found the Help for the Details Pane which is also for the Geometry Spreadsheet:

I guess they just have to be linked properly.
