Hello, I am new to Houdini and I'm curious about the FEM tools, however the only tutorials I can find are for the H13/H14 tools. This one- https://vimeo.com/118445782 [vimeo.com] -shows how to generate animation with the Ripple node and have that incorporate into the sim, but with H15 it appears that method is now obsolete. Could someone help me with how to adapt that method to H16? Also any leads on good learning resources for FEM are welcome. Very much appreciated, thank you!

not sure what you mean by obsolete, I downloaded the scene and seems to work fine in H16
FEM hasn't changed that much in terms of workflow since H13, you should be able to learn the principles from any tutorial
maybe start with H13 FEM masterclass: https://sidefx.com/tutorials/h13-masterclass-finite-elements/ [sidefx.com]

Well maybe obsolete is a strong word as yes the file does work. What I was referring to specifically is that the way the shelf tool builds an “Organic Mass” object has changed and I don't know where to put the Ripple node in order to have the solver take it into account?
