Hello,

I'm trying to simulate water contained within a balloon but for some reason the particles don't stay in it. They go all the way through. Any idea what can be causing this problem? Someone told me it might be Grid Scale on the FLIP Object but it doesn't change anything for me. Also, I'm using custom collision geometry created using VDBs, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I've attached simplified version of my scene if anyone wants to have a go…

Hi there.
Haven't Houdini right now but did you use surface collision on your balloon object Instead of your VDB?

Hi! I'm using Volume Sample from specified Proxy Volume (see attached image). I think I'm not using Surface collisions.

Hi,

It might be caused by your balloon collision being too thin. The FLIP solver can't properly handle collisions that are too thin. Make sure that your collisions are around two flip-sized voxels thick and that the division size of collision is at least the same size or lower. If the problem still persists, I can try and help further.

Hope that helps,
Ryan
