Hi

I am new to Houdini Just installed Indi 16.0.600

I Exported out a .abc from 3ds max. Ogawa format. I also tried the HDf5.

When I import Alembic scene I get Failed import.

The dialogue box comes up and when I make selection in “Object path” I can see all the objects. I select them all. Press Import and get the Failed to import error.

Weirdly yesterday I could do it. I tried importing yesterdays .abc file and now get the same error.

I can export an .abc from Houdini and then import.

Any ideas?

There was a bug fixed the other day related to importing alembic files that contained a space character in the file path. As a general rule, space characters should be avoided in paths.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip.

I removed the space in the .ABC file name. It now imports with out any error messages.

Thanks
