Does anyone know what this means?
It keeps popping up in my Houdini Dialog Box.

It looks like you may be opening a HIP file that was created on a system that has the Octane renderer. Your system may not have Octane, however. Typically warnings can be dismissed, errors need to be resolved.

I've got the same warnings and yes, I do have installed a GPU render and it's Redshift.

Stumbled upon the same thing today and it's not related to any external renderer in my case.

Seems like Houdini has a problem with (spare) parameters with the name “open”.
Creating a spare parm with that name produces the same warning and the parameter pane for that node stops updating correctly ( when creating keys, deleting channels etc ).

I've been running into this issue a lot! It seems to happen when I have an Octane a material that is using a custom parameter from inside the nodes. In my case, I had a RGB color node I wanted to control form the “shop level” of that material. I feel like Octane for Houdini is causing a lot more crashes than a professional render engine should cause!

Anyone have found a fix for this!

I have been learning houdini indie and get this a lot. I have been getting it randomly. I just started a scene with particles and got it while in the POP network.
