Are there any international standard node color conventions?

I would say what comes up as the default is the standard.
Otherwise people are just making up colors on their own. Perhaps some studios might require certain color schemes but that seem like overkill micro management to me.

most places I've worked develop ‘conventions’ for node colours…
yellow for lights
green for geometry
blue for sims
etc
but it's up to you
