Hi everybody
this is my first post, I'm happy (and scared at the same time )to be here with you.
How can I get the edge_dir attribute ,the one was in Point “add force” in Hou.15.5 and earlier versions,in Hou 16?
Is there a Vex function that makes the same without using the Point sop?
thanks for your help

If I recall correctly, it's something like just a tangent vector, in which case, you can hopefully use one of the options in PolyFrame. I might be completely misremembering though, since I never used it, myself.
Writing code for fun and profit since... 2005? Wow, I'm getting old.

Hi @ndickson , thanks for the quickest reply ever
I just tried PolyFrame sop and it doesn't give a good result. My bad maybe, but the tangent vectors i'm looking for (the ones old Point vop gave) are pointing to a different direction. PolyFrame gives a result close to that a cross product does.
Regards

Only check the Polyframes ‘Tangent Name’ and set it to ‘force’. Set ‘Style’ to ‘First Edge’ Then add a reverse sop before the Polyframe.
This will replicate the old point SOP edge force.
