Cloth Sim kind of a newbie!

I imported a OBJ from MAX where all the points were NOT in order ( very messy actually the way they were ). This object is a cloth that I want to simulate. The simulation gave me some very weird result. I tried a simple simulation with a grid. Worked fine! if I append a sort SOP ( random ) to “disorganised” the points, my sim is broken or a messy result.
Does the point order matters?
Also, by changing computer my original OBJ from MAX now works fine now. I just want to have confirmation about the importance of having the point ordered or not.

Just randomizing the points in a grid doesn't break the cloth simulation - I suspect that there is something else going on. Could you post your hip file or even just your geometry?

Actually it seems more to be a problem with the computer itself as the same hip file works fine on 2 other computers.
Time to get out of this messy world.
