Cloud only visible in Dop level, but not on geometry level

Hi everyone,

I recently made a scene with a bunch of cloud and I am now trying to create an interaction between the clouds and a mesh (like a spaceship flying through)

I managed to create a cloud, convert it into a VDB to use it as a pyro in a DOP node.

My problem is that I can only see it in my DOP.

As soon as I go back to geometry level there's nothing. And if I try to export my DOP as a VDB to render it in Maya, there's nothing.

I've attached the file and if anyone as any idea it would be amazing

Thanks

You have to reimport your density field from your DOP network. You can use a DOP Import Fields node in your SOP network for this.

If you want to export is as a VDB, you'll have to convert it to VDB first, using a Convert VDB node.

Thanks for the answer

Sadly, I'm fairly new to Houdini and i can't find how to do the dop import part
Tried it but it still doesn't show up.

Thanks again

Sorry Baloo, here you go, I saved a scene with the density field reimported at SOP level, and the convert to VDB node you would need to export it as a VDB afterwards. Hope that helps!
