Mantra: Higher sampling higher per material or object

Hi,


I'm trying to grasp the concepts/ideas behind sampling certain elements in a frame higher than others.



Under Geometry > Render > Dicing:
This does not affect standard shading when rendering Physically Based Rendering, correct?


Any input welcome!

Hi,
to start with have a look at this:

You can set various render properties at object level, but you will have to “expose” them first…

Hi,

Thanks for the input. I was on that page before, but was not sure if there's a different method that does not need separate ‘exposing’, maybe something that is used ‘more commonly’.

But if that's the official way, great!
