Hi, I recently bought a powerhouse Mac Pro 2010 (the silver tower, not the trash can model) that has 128 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, 12 cores, 3.46GHz, and a AMD Sapphire Radian HD 7xxx 2048 MB GPU, and 8 TB or storage. Now, that being said, I feel like Houdini is not using all the punch it has readily available. I appreciate all help. Thanks

Rendering and simulations should stress your system out quite well. Other things, like Modelling, are more linear and don't need to utilize all the CPUs and RAM you have. It really depends on what you're doing.
