My computer is tied up with a render right now and I don't have enough memory to start another client to give you an example.

But Scott Pagano has a paid tutorial that you can skip to the essential parts you need;

https://www.lynda.com/course-tutorials/Welcome/503812/620206-4.html [www.lynda.com]

If you've never had a lynda account, I think you can sign up for a free trial so that you can at least go through this tut without having to pay.

I forget how he actually does it as there some possible variation in approaches.

But I did something like your video clip using a straight line that is animated ( position and rotations ).

With a popnet after set with constant point activiation then followed by an add node which lets you connect all the points in a line that shared the same emission point source.

Then with vex running over prims you can with color ramps and fitted(points along prim ‘distance’) float ramps, determine each start/end for variance of length and color.

It is also possible (likely even looking at their other animations) it is done using a moving texture on deforming geometry. Nice looking piece. If it is “really urgent” maybe you should try subcontracting the job to Ari.

Thank you my friends for your lights, unfortunately I can't make another person work, the budget is really low, and the customer is not correct at all ( a bank…) but thanks again I think I have found the solution

MOPs might also be able to tackle something of the sorts that wouldn't be 100% the same, but maybe close enough for your client.

On a related note, if you're client is 1. cheap, 2. impatient, and 3. not correct at all; you might want to reconsider working for this person.

Good evening, thank you for your feedback. It is obvious that I would no longer work for this customer, but I want to remain professional until the end and deliver his order… First and last time I work for him, in the end I found the tutorial to do this effect under c4D I would be more efficient there than under houdini that I am learning

I kinda gotta admit that C4D still kicks Houdini's ass when it comes to ease of use to achieve these types of effects. This is all quite doable in Houdini for sure, but I don't think it's as easy and straightforward as following a 4 minute tutorial for C4D.
