Hello
Forgive me as I assume this question gets asked a lot. I have been learning Houdini at college. I have now installed Apprentice v16.5 Build 571 on my PC at Home.
At college Houdini runs fine. At home on my PC it seems to lag and performs at a very slow pace. Can I do anything to resolve this?
My Spec.
Windows 10 Pro Build 17134
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 4001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 48.0 GB
Total Virtual Memory 54.9 GB
NVIDIA Quadro M2000 (driver version 411.63)
SSD 1TB (installed Houdini on this drive)
HDD 1TB
I have dual monitors (turned one off didnt solve the issue)

I have attached the files. It is a 240 frame “wireframe growth” derived from the .obj It all works fine it is just very slow to load, pan zoom, render and just use! Any help greatly appreciated!

It runs just fine on my machine at home.. however what you should do is run the performance monitor on your file and see where your bottle neck is compared to school.
