Is there an equivalent workflow (not just feature) in Houdini?

That's pretty cool actually. With all of the KitBashing products out there, I do wish there was a built-in way to manage those libraries and utilize them in a creatively transparent way.

The closest thing I can think of is Direct Modeling:

I'm using it quite a bit, mostly as a way to manage my many hundreds of kit bash elements and bringing them into my scenes effortlessly. The DM Soft boolean works somewhat similarly to Kit-Ops, although it's not quite as slick.

Anyway, check out the DM videos, you might find it to be a useful solution for your needs.

Any way to incentivize you to push it up higher on your list? This is totally something I'd be willing to pay for. I have a massive collection of kit bash elements and using and cataloging them is a massive PITA!!!

when I say ‘my list’ I should have said “my at home, spare time list”

in Houdini we'd want to make a toolset that was more than just a pane full of thumbnails - and for more than just kitbash geo, there are already tools out there (on gumroad etc) that folks have built to handle a library of HDRs (this kind of thing: https://greyscalegorilla.com/2013/01/new-hdri-tools-from-greyscalegorilla/ [greyscalegorilla.com] )

add to this the desire (need) for this tool to do more than just drop a piece of geometry in your scene - something like that KitOps in the OP isn't trivial.
