if you buy Houdini, do you have the same startup menu like Apprentice (Programs>Side Effects Software>H 8.1….> Select/Escape/Halo/Master)?
If so, than if you buy Houdini Escape you can also “Run” Houdini Master are how does it work ?

Depending on what package you buy, yes, that's the way it works.

If you buy Houdini Master, you can only run Houdini Master and *NOT* Escape/Halo/Select. Same goes if you buy Escape. You will only be able to run Escape and not Master or Halo. However, you are still allow to run Apprentice versions of the other packages.

As far as the Start Menu goes. I assume it will be just like when you install Apprentice. You have a list of all the different packages even though only one or two will run. That said, you can always remove the unused ones from the list.
