how can I make a chrome (metal) sphere in Houdini ? (shader,material…)

The quickest way is to hit Alt+g to bring up the Shader Pallete.
In the path put
“$HH/shop/palette/metals”
Then pick any of the different metal shops. It will create a vop network for you which you can further edit.
