Hi, does anyone know how to speed up the erosion process? I'm currently using Houdini 16.6.439 and it takes a while for it to erode.
Is this normal or am I not enabling some optimization feature within Houdini to get a speedier result?

Depends on your machine. The slower the machine, the slower the process.

I take the chance to ask: I've always wondered what is driving volume (heightfield included) and VDB operations: CPU (single or multithread?) or GPU?

I figured out the reason. It has to do with resolution of my heightfield
