Hi! I am working on a project where I would like to have my animated running character move through a cloud of smoke, and interact with the smoke as he moves through it. I have been able to achieve solid interaction with pyro with a low poly, still character model with just the z coordinate keyframed using the static object toolbar button and some fiddling in the static object node in the pyro dopnet. However, when I try to import my rigged FBX character model and set that as a collider, Houdini freezes up and crashes while trying to sim it. My computer should not be the problem here, so what am I doing wrong? Any recommendations for this sort of thing? There are plenty of tutorials online for still objects, but I have yet to find one for an animated character type object.
