Hi!

I am totally new and got the advice to try a free version of Houdini before I buy the Indie version to start with.

Its a challenge, really and loads of new options, parameters and possibilities for a rookie to handle.

So here is my first questions ever in this forum and some of you may think they´re really silly but I really don´t know how to do this right:

1. When I add a camera to a simple test scene with just a single cube in it I would like to look through the camera when trying to position it. In the “set view” option up in the right corner of the “Select Area window” where I can see my cube all options are available, “the Perspective, Top, Front, Right, UV, Bottom, Back and Left Viewport” but not a sight of the Camera´s viewport.

Where and why is that option hidden and where can I find it?

2. When I stop working active for a about 10 seconds the program acts funny when I try to get back into Houdini. It's lagging and do not want to open. Then after about 3-8 seconds its completely dead. It starts up after a while but its irritating and doesn't feel healthy at all.
