capturing and recapturing geometry or transform original geo

quick question here. If I am trying to capture a character using motion capture, and I find that the character is out of position, should I a. capture the character with a set of ‘positioning’ bones to put it into the correct place for the mocap and then recapture or b. reposition the geometry manually using rotation/translation/scale or c. some other funky houdini magic.

I vote for establishing a rest position/orientation of the bones that matches your rest geometry.
