Hi,

I've created a Houdini asset which contains some external .OBJ files which make up part of the asset. When I create the digital asset and try to load it into UE4 it fails.

I've loaded the HDA in notepad and can't seem to find any reference to the .OBJ files, what am I doing wrong guys? How do I include the .OBJ files with the HDA?

Thanks

Once you have referenced the file, place a stash node, after it and click the Stash Input button. This will bind the geometry into that node and make it portable, no longer requiring file access.
Using Houdini Indie 20.0
Windows 11 64GB Ryzen 16 core.

Solved it, was as simple as adding the OBJs in the “Extra Files” and adding the correct OBJ files to the UE4 project.

A stash node is a good idea, but we need to be able to edit the referenced OBJ files and they update automatically.
