I do a lot of opscripting of characters and their skeletons which I rename in a text editor and source back in. Opscript -G doesn't seem to be working at the moment, and I've never been too sure of how to opscript out channel groups. Perhaps there is another methodology I could use. Suggestions?

I believe that opscript -G outputs operator groups only (ie. the groups you see when you press x in the network editor). To opscript out channel group info, use chgls -g. For more info try help chgls.

thanx, edward. If you open a fresh Houdini, create an operator group and opscript -G, you will find that it no longer outputs the operator group. I fear it is broken. Thanks for the hint on chgls, I'll try it out.

Hmm … good question. I'm not sure if opscript -G is supposed to do anything anymore as “opgls -g” in the appropriate op directory seems to do what you want. ie.
opcf /obj
opgls -g
