Vertex Animation Texture to Unreal

Hi,

I am trying to use the VAT node and am having some trouble.

I have the latest Game Development Toolset (1.96) and it is a bit different than the older one shown in tutorials.

The old version I would grab the material code at the bottom and paste into Unreal and it worked well. When I paste the newer version material code it comes into Unreal incomplete.

Am I doing something wrong compared to the old way of doing it? Should I be doing something with the JSON file? Is there any recent tutorials or documentation on the newer VAT node?

Ok, so I found this that explained the new VAT node to Unreal:

I followed the tutorial and I have it in unreal now but I think I am still missing something as it is coming in very triangulated looking and not smooth (see attached pic)

I have the material instance Position Min, Position Max, and Number of Frames set correctly in Unreal so not sure what I have missed.


Any ideas what I need to do?

Have you found out what was causing the triangulated mesh for you?
