Instanced road modules

Is there a way to create a road based on a curve with instanced modules in Houdini? Like the road spline in UE4 does. I thought that the Geometry Sweep would do this but after bringing it in to Unity as an .hda the whole road system shows up as one solid mesh which is not ideal for game dev.
