I am trying to figure out if you can bind normal parms which already exist in an asset as state parms and what the difference is between normal parms and state parms, but the docs are a but ambiguous and the examples as well.

They both talk about a binded parameter also to be seen in the ‘Parameter Dialog’, for example the $HH/viewer_states/examples/state_parms_demo.hip says "or hit P in the viewer to tweak the parameters from the Parameter dialog”, but I do not see these parameters in the Parameter Pane..

I have also tried adding a parm with the exact label and name to the example hda, but that didn’t bind them together. How does this work? Is it a bug?
