Hi guys, I'm working on a scene but I can't seem to figure out how to integrate the two systems.

The idea is theres a rock spike that is flying across the water and I want pieces of the rock to break off and then be pushed along the water as it parts behind the rock.

Attached is an example of what I have so far.

My question is, with the packed rbd object it seems to freak out once it touches the water which is not the case with the regular rbd object. How can I get around this?

RBD packed objects are not working really well with FLIP specifically when mutual collision is needed.
You should go with regular RBD object or just use RBD packed object in one way collision relationship and see if the result is acceptable…

If you are going to use a regular RBD fractured object to allow the water to affect the rock pieces, don't forget to set Feedback Scale on the FLIP solver to something greater than 0 (typically 1), or you won't see any influence from the fluid on the rocks.

I'll give this a try, thanks guys.
