COPs Random Artifacts

Hello,

for the past few weeks I've been struggling with COPs in the application of a contact sheet for wedged simulations. I've got everything nicely up and running, but after the sim and preview I also want to burn in the parameter values of the simulation - through a COP-Net.

Here is an example of the bug:


and here is another weird behaviour when I add a drop shadow.


Attached on the bottom you can see the final output “chimney_sim_w.v003.mp4” with four wedges. As you can see, it happens on random frames.

It didn't do that when I rendered it in the background locally, but now I am distributing the jobs to RoyalRender-Farm, but it's reproducible in the COP-Viewport. We're on H 18.0.597 and Windows 10 - all this is packaged up in our tools to distribute to farm.

Any guesses at all? I do have some python controlling parameters, but it persists even if I get rid of the expressions. Looks buggy as hell.
