I am trying to remesh a photoscan. The adaptive gradation works really well at isolating areas that need more topology, however, at any values higher than .3, the gradation becomes pretty much non-existent and the topology is uniform.

I want to have crisp edges, while keeping a reasonable poly count on less important parts of the mesh. How can I achieve this?

This mesh is approximately 15x15 units.

Thank you!

Maybe as a work around you can scale the mesh before remeshing so it's in the sweetspot for gradation, then scale it back afterwards.
