Hello,
I was reading the Vellum Constraints geometry node docs and have found a Shape Match constraint but can not find it in the vellum constraint type. does any one knows where to find it?
https://www.sidefx.com/changelog/
Houdini 18.5.472 The Vellum Solver has a new Shape Match constraint type, which can be added to existing Vellum constraints like cloth to make objects more rigid, or be used on its own. The Vellum Constraints SOP can create these constraint types, with the typical Define Piece parameters controlling which points go into each object. NOTE: these constraints have the same NVIDIA driver requirements as Pressure constraints, as specified in the What's New Vellum section of the help.
tamteThanks, still don't have it at work and here at home I'm with a learning edition, will wait to test it until SideFX update the learning edition.
it was added in 18.5.472, so make sure you are running at least that buildhttps://www.sidefx.com/changelog/

mestelaWoow, thanks man didn't know about this.
you can download the daily builds and run it with apprentice licencing (aka the learning edition) fine.

I'm having a problem with Vellum Shape Match, because when I add this constraint, the simulation disappears... in the second frame the geometry disappears. I'm using Linux.

Do you need any special driver for the shape match mode?
https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/news/19/vellum.html
Shape match constraints require the latest driver for NVIDIA Ampere series cards. This is version 456.38 on Windows [www.nvidia.com] and version 450.80.02 on Linux [www.nvidia.com].
If you don’t update your driver, you can alternatively set the following environment variable to disable this feature: HOUDINI_OCL_FEATURE_DISABLE=CL_DEVICE_DEVICE_ENQUEUE_SUPPORT. For more information, see environment variables. [www.sidefx.com]
Voldemar13In the company I'm working we have had some crashes due to the Nvidia diver, if you are experimenting crashes with shapematch constraint try another driver.
