Landscape Layers are not populating correctly on UE4

Hi everyone, first post here. I started learning Houdini for the past few weeks. Started following this [www.sidefx.com] tutorial from Houdini's website. Everything goes well until I have to import the landscape to UE4. When importing and trying to set up the material (which is provided by the tutorial) I get a dark screen that seems to mirror the sky depending on the angle. I've tried multiple solutions but I am not sure what is happening. I traced the issue down to the layers, which, have been imported from Houdini correctly as per the tutorial, however, they are not populating the materials correctly creating this odd-looking reflection.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Best,

Nobu

This is what a landscape looks like when there's no base layer for the landscape material. What are those two empty layers and what happens if you delete them?
