Hi,

I am currently rendering a large ocean with a camera that has a high focal-length of 58 and 4k resolution. I would like to have these specific settings because the output will then be feed into a Neural Network that detects boats.

The rendered images should be as close to the real setting as possible to test my model.

I encountered the problem, that the mantra-render node crashes after 2 hours with error-code 9 (I think it is SigKill). When changing the focal-length to 20 it suddenly works without error-code 9 but it takes 7 hours per frame. One reason that it takes so long is the wide ocean of 8000*8000 and the camera that has a overview over 5000.

Know to my questions:

  1. Is there a possibility to render with a focal length of 58 without crashing? (Maybe it takes too long to render)
  2. Are there better settings for the mantra-node to render large scene much faster?

Thanks for your help

kind regards Michael
