Hi,

I am fairly new to Houdini and really loving it so far
I was following cgforge.com's great beginner tutorial series, which really helped me to wrap my head around the user interface and some basic functions.

However I was following this part, regarding caching, and tried to adapt that technique to a simple animation, basically just rotating the geo over time:

When I display the filecache and play it back regularly everything seems to be fine.

But when I use "Load from Disk" flag it gets reaaallly choppy...

Also assigning the cached animation leads to the same result, even though I have set "Cache Frame" to the same number as the animation duration and set the "Pre-fetch Geometry" flag.

Did I misunderstand something here and caching is for render-purposes? Or did I set something wrong?
