VAT and Unreal SkeletalMesh

Hello everyone,
While being a Veteran (I guess)I'm a new Houdini user and this my first post

So I'm doing a layered deformation on top of a skinned character, and I'm pretty happy with the result.
Now I'd like that deformation as a VAT in Unreal but I'm facing an issue as once imported the mesh data is altered.
Note that as expected it's working fine with a StaticMesh and I know that I'll probably have to export the deformation delta and modify the VAT shader.
Anyway this is just one object and it's skeleton an I assumed there's no mesh merging happening on import. Nonetheless the index buffer seems to be modified by the Unreal FBX importer as well as the UV2 generated by the VAT exporter (some seams appeared).

I was wondering if someone already tried to do the same and had any success?
