Full Version: What kind of demo reel would you consider "hireable"?
Root » Houdini Lounge » What kind of demo reel would you consider "hireable"?
I've made some progress learning Houdini, and I think it's time to make my demo reel. Of course I'm still a beginner, and those super polished artworks on Artstation by artists with 10+ years of experience are out of my reach.

How good does a demo reel/portfolio need to be so you'd consider it "hireable"? Like "this is a junior artist with potential" instead of "lol this guy doesn't know what he's doing."?
I think it depends on what kind of job/industry you're aspiring to work in using Houdini, the content of the reel and skill level distribution displayed on it will depend heavily on that... what would be your junior dream job?
Yes, that is more the question.

What aspect of CG? What type of Studio?
