I'm sure there are a number of ways of making font sop text into smooth bendable 3D geometry.
I am attaching an HDA that is a sop subnetwork that generates 3D text geometry with enough mesh detail for bending. The HDA includes parameters for extrude thickness, bevel distance and bend angle. It's a pay forward in appreciation for all the help I've received from the Sidefx forum members.
