I am wondering what is the status with houdini on apple silicon?
is everything working?
what isn't?
would you be able to use it for production in it's current state?
what's the performance in certain areas like fluids, vellum, pyro, karma,..?

Yeah out of curiosity I also wanted to know if Karma XPU support could come onto Apple Silicon by end of the year?
Heard that it's extremely fast on windows!
XPU already works on Apple Silicon, but currently is CPU-only (meaning it does not use the GPU).
We have future plans to support the GPU on Apple, but they're not immediate sorry.

I've tested KarmaXPU on my M1 Ultra and even though it is only utilising the CPU, the speed is still very impressive for CPU only. So I can only imagine that being significantly better with the GPU compatibility.
that sounds very promising!
how is the GPU utilization/performance (opencl?) in pyro, flip, vellum,.. ?
