I'm finally getting my head around APEX, but I'm noticing some real peculiarities with how Daz's rigging interacts with APEX. Hopefully someone knows how to either work around these limitations, or better prepare the skeletons to comply with what APEX expects. So far, I've learned that it's important to reparent elbows and knees to the shoulders and thighs, respectively, on a G8, or else multiik doesn't know how to parse the arms and legs. I've also reparented the abdomenLower to the pelvis rather than hip, but I don't remember if that was necessary for Apex, or just part of the ragdoll configuration. Setting @scaleinheritance to 0 on at least the animated skeleton is also critical. For the rest:

1. reversefoot seems to be confused by all the toe bones. On a G9, the toes simply get misaligned, whereas on a G8, the ankle goes up and the ball goes through the floor, while the toes absolutely lose their minds and spin around randomly whenever you manipulate the foot. I've tried with and without the toe bones included in the foot tag, with and without orienting the joints...at some point, I did have this working, but in my haphazard process of changing parameters to see what changes they make, there always comes a point when the feet get mangled. The most promising change I've seen so far is just deleting the toe bones, and obviously that has its own complications.

2. I've never gotten multiik and fbik to play nice together. Either one works, or the other. Again, they play together just fine on Electra, so I don't know what's throwing it off

3. Maybe more of a general APEX question, but is it possible to parent the pole vector controls to the elbows and knees? I've tried referencing them by joint name, I've tried adding ik_middle as a tag to all the joints and referencing them that way, but it's not working. Is this not possible, or at least not recommended?

Posted it where? I couldn't find it on the forums or Orbolt.

edit: never mind, found her github. I'll give it a whirl. Thank you.

It turns out that what she posted wasn't an HDA after all, but a HIP file, and it does appear to be specifically tuned for G9, while I'm still using G8 but might include more G9 in the future. I'll see what I can learn from her approach, but I definitely couldn't pass my existing characters through it.
