Glue Object not collapsing under it's own weight

At this stage (screenshot) why is it not collapsing under its own weight?

If I either add more weight or reduce the glue value it will start collapsing under its own weight from frame one, and just a liiiittle bit more and it's the most stable structure in the world…

I feel that I am missing something..

Only way I have managed to get around it sofar is to find a seed value of the “bullets” to not make such big overhanging chunck, like in this test video I put on vimeo.

But I would be so much nicer if overhangs could collapse under their own weight.

I guess you would need to use Hard Constraint for effects like that
